WIBOR and car and company leasing
Not only do mortgages feel changes in WIBOR rates – leasing companies also use them to determine the prices of their offers. If you lease a company car or machinery for work, WIBOR rates affect how much you pay to the leasing company every month. The higher the WIBOR, the lessor may be slightly higher – and vice versa.
The following are a few examples of estimated leasing instalments with the assumption of own 10% and interest rates based on current market rates.

| PLN 300 000 | 60 months | PLN 5,580 |

What is WIBOR? Short explanation
WIBOR is simply an interest rate after which banks in Poland lend each other money. When the bank grants you a variable-rate mortgage loan, it takes WIBOR as its starting point and adds its margin – and so your installment arises. In other words, the higher WIBOR today, the more expensive the credit – and vice versa.
