Dear Readers, this magical moment has come! The first star, symbolizing the birth of Jesus and the beginning of Christmas supper, just appeared in the Polish sky. According to astronomers, in central Poland, including Warsaw, this happened at exactly 4:00 p.m. It is at this time when the sky begins to darken after sunset (which occurred around 3:30 p.m.), the brightest stars become visible to the naked eye.
In the Polish Christmas tradition, the first star is a sign to sit at the table and share a wafer with your loved ones. It resembles the Bethlehem Star, which, according to the Bible, led the Three Kings to the stable. This year, in 2025, astronomical conditions favor early recognition of this symbol – The sun hid behind the horizon, and the sky gradually fills with stars. If you are in another region of Poland, time may vary slightly by a few minutes, but in the central part of the country 16:00 is the perfect moment to look out the window and start celebrating.
This year has brought many challenges in a dynamically changing world, as we regularly inform on DigitalNexus.pl.
