Disappearance of Emilia Koprowska: prosecutors set police a deadline for new actions

The District Prosecutor’s Office in Koszalin sent the case file of Emilia Koprowska, missing from Darłowo, to the police with a list of actions to be carried out by 15 November. The scope of these actions is not known.

The information was provided by the spokeswoman of the Koszalin prosecutor’s office, prosecutor Ewa Dziadczyk, in an interview with „Fakt”, as reported by Interia. According to the spokeswoman, the supervising prosecutor returned the file to the police with instructions on what the officers should do, and set the deadline for completion as 15 November. The prosecutor’s office did not disclose which actions the instruction concerns.

What is known about the case

The 37-year-old resident of Koszalin went missing on 30 August in Darłowo after a techno music festival, which she attended with her husband. Since then she has not contacted her family. According to o2.pl, the report reached the police on 1 September, and about two weeks later a random person found the woman’s phone; a few days later her backpack was found. According to the Świat Gwiazd service, the investigation was opened on 23 September.

Phone and interviews

According to Interia, the phone still has not been unlocked. Earlier reports mention partial access to messages, but the prosecutor’s office has not said what they show. The spokeswoman confirmed that the missing woman’s husband was questioned again in early October. He is involved in the case as a witness. No one has been charged.

„Super Express” reported that the husband voluntarily underwent a polygraph test. Prosecutor Dziadczyk noted that the prosecutor’s office did not order it and that the result cannot be direct evidence. She added that this is the first time such a test has been used in the Koszalin district.

Earlier, the spokeswoman told Radio Zet that some information circulating online, including on a group set up by the missing woman’s husband, is untrue and is drawing police attention. Investigators are monitoring these posts.

Description and appeal

Police said that at the time of her disappearance the woman was wearing white jeans, a white T-shirt with the word „Cherry”, a black leather jacket and white sneakers by Big Star. Distinguishing marks include a Pisces zodiac sign tattoo from the ribs to the hip and a name tattooed on a finger of her right hand. The search is ongoing, and anyone with information about the woman’s whereabouts should contact the police.

What next

The 15 November deadline concerns the police carrying out the instructions and does not mean the investigation will be closed. The prosecutor’s office has not announced a press conference or further statements.
