A week-old Zayneb died after being brutally thrown on the floor by a six-year-old in the maternity ward of Jeanne-de-Flandre Hospital in Lille.
The family claims that they did not receive any apology from the hospital, which was responsible for the lack of supervision of the child, and condemns the deep lack of empathy.
On 7 July, at Jeanne-de-Flandre Hospital in Lille, Zayneb-Cassandra was born an infant born in 7.5 months of pregnancy.. Unfortunately, an unexpected incident turned happy moments into a nightmare for many families.
A Day of Tragedy
On the day of the planned discharge of the girl, he appeared in the ward 6-year-old boy, son of one of the patients. The boy was known to the staff – he often stayed in the ward and aroused concern as he wandered the halls. On that day, the inconspicuous moment of inaction became the beginning of drama.
How did the baby die?
The boy entered the room where Zayneb-Cassandra lay. According to family and staff testimony, he pulled the girl out of the incubator, trying to lift her by the diaper. The newborn suddenly fell on the floor, suffering severe head injury.
