A 15-year-old girl from the village of Sulistrov went to the Provincial Hospital in Krosno. Doctors quickly realized that a teenager had recently given birth child - but the baby wasn't there. Police and D.A. They went into action, and a newborn body was found on the property of the family. The case shook the local community and went under the supervision of the District Attorney's Office.
What happened in Sulistrov?
On Thursday, June 11, around 4:00 p.m., a 15-year-old came to the hospital. Medical personnel, concerned about her condition, notified the police. Preliminary findings indicated that childbirth may have occurred before coming to the facility. The officers, together with the prosecutor and forensic technicians from Rzeszów, went to the property in Sulistrowa (Cordovka Municipality).
A day later, on Friday, a newborn body was found on the property. The body was secured for the section, which is planned for June 16 at the Institute of Judicial Medicine of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. This study is crucial – it will help determine whether the child was born alive and what the cause of death was.
Detention and current state of investigation
In connection with the case, three people from the closest teenage family were detained. After performing the necessary activities Prosecutor decided to release them. At this stage No one's been charged. And no one stays in custody.
The District Attorney's Office in Krosno initiated an investigation on 13 June in respect of Article 148(1) of the Criminal Code, i.e. murder. On Monday, June 15, the case was taken over by the District Attorney's Office in Krosno. A spokesman for the prosecution, Dr Marta Kolendowska-Matejczuk, emphasizes that the proceedings are at an early stage. Intensive activities are underway to recreate the full course of events.
The D.A. calls for calm and refrain from speculation. Due to the well-being of the investigation and the injured minor, he does not give more details.
