Heidi Klum appeared at her 25th Halloween party in New York on Saturday, October 31, dressed as a giant severed hand. According to CBS News, the costume was modeled on her own left hand.
The party took place at the Cathédrale club in New York. According to CBS News, the model was unrecognizable: only her eyes and mouth were visible, and fake blood dripped from her mouth. Klum also stuck her tongue out at photographers. Variety magazine describes the outfit as a realistic-looking severed human hand.
Idea and preparations

The star told CBS that the idea came from looking at her own hand. She reportedly thought she could somehow fit her body inside it. Getting into the costume took her about five to six hours, and making it took much longer. The biggest challenge was carrying it: „Hands down, the hardest thing is carrying it,” she said, adding that the outfit is very heavy.

The costume reproduces, among other things, the lines of the palm and veins. There is also a tattoo with her husband’s name on the ring finger. According to Yahoo Entertainment, an engagement ring sat on top of the costume. Klum had earlier told People magazine that the look would be „very, very bloody,” as The Hollywood Reporter writes. There was also a partnership with the wine brand Apothic: wine was served at the party in pouches resembling blood bags.
She posted a teaser video on Instagram, captioned „TALK TO THE HAND,” according to Just Jared. Throughout the week she also shared glimpses of the preparations, and fans guessed who she would be.
The „Queen of Halloween” tradition
The party marked its 25th anniversary this year. The year before, Klum dressed as Medusa, while her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, went as a Greek soldier turned to stone, as Variety reports. Kaulitz was not at the party in 2026 because, according to CBS, he is on a concert tour. Among her most talked-about transformations is a worm from 2022, which went viral. Earlier she had been E.T., a peacock, Fiona from „Shrek” and Jessica Rabbit, The Hollywood Reporter lists. She works on her costumes with special effects makeup artist Mike Marino.
