How to read NBP courses? Practical Guide
Table A NBP contains so-called average courses — These are reference courses published by the National Bank of Poland, which are not directly used for cash exchange, but are the official reference point for tax, customs and accounting settlements. Table C of the NBP includes bid and ask — those that directly affect you when you go to the exchange office or order a bank transfer. The purchase rate is the price at which the bank or currency buys currency from you — So if you come back from abroad from the euro and you want to trade them for gold, you'll get the purchase rate. The sales rate is always higher — is the price at which the financial institution sells you the currency, which is the one you pay when you want to buy, for example, dollars before going abroad.

Currency Trivia of the Day
