“This reflects direct, good relations between the presidents; a gesture symbolizing hope for a new chapter in cooperation” – stressed Marcin Przydacz from the President’s Chancellery.

The eagle, which is the coat of arms of both the USA and Poland, carries deep significance in the traditions of both countries. The American version – the bald eagle – symbolizes courage and independence, while the Polish one is associated with freedom and statehood history.
Polish-American Relations at a New Stage
Trump did not limit himself to sending the sculpture. A US delegation also flew to Warsaw for President Nawrocki’s inauguration. This kind of activity from the American administration indicates that the White House is betting on building personal, trust-based ties with the Polish leader.
Trump reportedly said during a campaign-era meeting at the White House: “You will win!” – which Nawrocki took as not only courtesy, but also a signal of support.
