On Monday, November 24, 2025, Polish President Karol Nawrocki, along with the first lady Marta Nawrocka, began an official visit to the Czech Republic. President Petr Pavel and his wife Eva Pavlová welcomed the presidential couple in the courtyard of the Prague Castle. This event represents an important step in strengthening Polish-Czech relations, especially in the context of the upcoming Visegrad Group Summit (V4).

Welcome ceremony and first talks
The visit began with a solemn ceremony at Prague Castle, the historic headquarters of Czech rulers. President Nawrocki and the first lady were warmly welcomed by the hosts, which highlighted close ties between the two countries. After the welcome, the presidents had a talk "in private" and then a plenary meeting of the delegation. A joint press conference was scheduled around noon to discuss key bilateral issues.

Topics of the discussion included Polish-Czech relations, cross-border cooperation, economic and energy cooperation. The Head of the Office of Policy of the International Chancellery of the President of Poland, Marcin Przycz, stressed that the visit is not limited to preparations for the V4 summit, but also covers current security challenges and diplomatic activities. They accompany the president, among others, Deputy Head of KPRP Adam Andruszkiewicz, Marcin Przycz and advisor Wanda Buk.

Visiting programme: From breakfast to lecture
Following talks, the Czech presidential couple released an official breakfast in honor of Polish guests. The afternoon will fill in the next points of the program. After 3:00 p.m. President Karol Nawrocki will give a lecture at the prestigious Charles University in Prague, sharing prospects for regional cooperation.
At the same time, the first lady Marta Nawrocka will visit the Holy Jadwiga Polish School at the Polish Embassy in Prague, meeting with students and teachers. This is a gesture that emphasizes the importance of education and culture in relations between nations.
At 4:30 p.m. President Nawrocki will meet with Andrej Babiš, former Czech Prime Minister and leader of the group, who won the recent parliamentary elections. This discussion may affect future political cooperation in the region.
Importance of the visit to the Visegrad Group
This visit is a continuation of a series of meetings by President Nawrock in the V4 countries. Earlier on 5 November, he visited Slovakia, where he spoke with President Peter Pellegrini, Speaker of Parliament Richard Raši and Prime Minister Robert Fico. All this prepares the ground for the December V4 summit in Hungary (3 December), where the presidents of Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia will discuss regional issues, including security and economic cooperation.
In the context of current challenges, such as the energy situation in Europe and cross-border relations, the visit strengthens Poland's position as a leader in Central Europe. Experts stress that such meetings build trust and facilitate joint action within the European Union and NATO.
Bridge between nations
The official visit of President Karol Nawrocki to the Czech Republic is not only a diplomatic ritual, but a real chance to deepen cooperation. In times of global change, Polish-Czech relations are gaining importance, and today's events in Prague can affect the future of the whole region.
