Hayden Panettiere: 911 call recording released

American media have published a recording of a 911 emergency call concerning Hayden Panettiere, the star of the series “Nashville”, who died in August at the age of 36. According to outlets citing CBS News, the dispatcher tried to guide resuscitation over the phone.

The recording, which CBS News reportedly obtained first, captures the chaos after the actress was found unconscious in her partner’s apartment. The caller (the partner’s brother) spoke in panic, while the dispatcher instructed him how to perform resuscitation until emergency services arrived. Reports indicate that the caller entered the apartment after returning from church and found the actress in a life-threatening condition.

Cause of death

According to reports from Yahoo and ABC News, the coroner determined that Panettiere died on August 16 from the toxic effects of several substances taken simultaneously, including fentanyl. The death was classified as accidental, meaning no third party was implicated.
