Jessie Cave, known for her role as Lavender Brown (in the Polish version of Lilá Brown) in the last three parts of the Harry Potter film saga, revealed in an interview with "The Times" that in just one year on OnlyFans she earned more than two decades of acting work.
The actress joined the platform in March 2025 for purely financial reasons. After rejecting at another hearing and feeling "total desperation" she said that she could not afford a simple job – for example at the supermarket – because she could not afford to care for four children, and at the same time she did not want her customers shouting her spells from Harry Potter.
On OnlyFans publishes content fully dressed, focused exclusively on hair – so-called hair content. He cuts very long hair, braids, arranges hairstyles and puts on various outfits and costumes (including the Potterverse "Harry Potter") at the request of subscribers. As she emphasizes, "hairs are the main character" is a niche texture and hair movement fetish, not erotic content.
A monthly subscription costs about $6. Additional receipts come from paid messages and individual requests. In one day Cave earned about £15,000 (about $20,000). After more than a year and a half on the platform, she said, "This really saved our lives."
The actress doesn't quit her work on camera and on stage. OnlyFans treats as a stable source of income that allowed her and her partner, comedian Alfie Brown, to emerge from the financial crisis and ensure family safety. At the same time, he admits that he consciously gives up the content of nakedness, which makes him unaware of how long he will maintain his current level of earnings.
Cave's history shows how much the labour market has changed in the entertainment industry. A former film star whose acting career has never brought financial stability, has found a way to earn through niche, fully-dressed content aimed at a particular audience.
