A respected lecturer in chemical engineering at the University of Manchester for a quarter century led a double life – during the day he taught students and after hours... He made adult films under a nickname Old Nick.
Nicholas Goddard, a graduate of the prestigious Oxford University, worked at the university for almost 25 years. Father of three, a respected specialist.
Everything changed in 2016 when one of the students during the evening ‘ritual’ watching adult content recognized the voice of his professor. Scene? Classic – garden, old man and young girl. The voice was unbelievable.
In a few days, the case came out. It turned out that 61-year-old Goddard had recorded dozens of porn films for a decade, often with partners 40 years younger.
He did so, as he himself claimed, "to relieve stress after divorce." The family had no idea.
The university immediately suspended the professor, and he himself decided to leave with dignity. He resigned on April 1, 2016. In talks with the media, he said openly: It became too difficult to reconcile lectures with recordings, and money from the adult industry... They weren't as spectacular as they might seem.
