Kyle Bevan, sentenced to life for gruesome. Murder Two-year-old Lola James, was brutally attacked at British HMP Wakefield prison.
The attack has occurred in recent days. According to British media, Bevan was stabbed. over 30 times during only a five-minute attack by fellow prisoners. He was found in critical condition and transported to the hospital.
The crime for which he served his sentence
On the night of July 16, 17, 2020, Kyle Bevan, then a 31-year-old partner of Lola's mother, performed on a 2-year-old girl extremely violent and long-term attack.
Lola suffered. over 100 external injuries whole body and catastrophic brain injuries. The experts compared her injuries to those caused by high-speed traffic accidents. Despite his dramatic condition, Bevan instead of calling for help, attempted to cover the crime tracks and recorded a short video of him manipulating an unconscious child.
Lola died four days later – July 21, 2020 - at the hospital without regaining consciousness.
The court found that Bevan had abused a girl in a beastly way for a long time. Lola's case James shook the whole of Britain and became a symbol of the tragic negligence of the security system children.
Reactions to Prison Attack
Attack on Bevan is widely commented on in British media and social media. Many Internet users openly talk about "prison justice", suggesting that the fellow prisoners have made some sort of revenge for the murder of an unarmed child.
For now, it has not been revealed whether the attackers will be prosecuted. The HMP Wakefield Prison Service is conducting an internal investigation.
