Midtown police have detained a 20-year-old woman who has alerted more than 60 times about fictional fires. Her actions paralyzed the capital services and put her before serious charges.
False alarms in the center of Warsaw

Within a few months, reports of alleged fires and other emergencies were regularly received by the Warsaw emergency services. Every time firefighters, police, and paramedics reacted immediately, after which the threat did not appear to exist.. Excessive resources and time may have made it difficult to help those who really need it.
How did the unsub work?
The Feral series of false alarms began when a 20-year-old resident of the capital began to use both the 112 number and the SOS application, sending fictional reports. Police determined that the woman was not an accidental perpetrator – she regularly watched the services react from a safe distance.
"It's not me, it's the app" – the translation stopped
During the interrogation, a woman admitted her guilt, but tried partly to explain the alleged"a malicious application"who was supposed to send applications without her express consent. Investigators are skeptical of this version of events.
Effects of false notifications – legal and social consequences
Calling false alarms is not just an irresponsible joke. In Polish law it is a crime – for similar actions threatens up to8 years imprisonment. Such reports distract the service from real interventions, can delay real help and endanger the lives of other residents of the city.
