President Karol Nawrocki signed a bill that exempts parents raising at least two children from income tax. This is one of the most important family reforms of recent years.
Zero PIT for families 2+2

The new bill is the fulfillment of one of Karol Nawrocki's key electoral promises.
The relief will benefit both biological parents and legal guardians, foster families and those paying child support for adult, learning children. The relief also covers disabled children and those aged up to 25.
Who gets the most?
Under the new rules:
- each parent is exempt from income tax up to PLN 140 thousand per year,
- In total, spouses can earn up to PLN 280 thousand without PIT,
- The average family can gain up to PLN 1000 per month.
This is a concrete relief, especially for families with medium and lower incomes that previously paid the PIT in full.
Response to the demographic crisis
President Karol Nawrocki said that Poland is facing a serious demographic challenge. In his opinion, supporting families is the responsibility of the state towards the future of the nation.
As the President stressed:"Exemption from the PIT of parents of two and more children is not only my promise, but my duty to Poland".
The new reform is not only intended to ease home budgets, but also to encourage young people to start families.
When will families feel the change?
Although the bill was signed in October 2025, the actual effect of the family will be seen in the tax settlement for 2026, submitted in 2027.
The government predicts that over 2.5 million families will benefit from the relief in the first year. The funding of the reform is to come mainly from sealing the tax system and higher VAT and CIT revenues.
