Resident Buckwheat He found an artillery missile while walking in the surrounding forest. An unusual find decided to take home and treat it as a souvenir from World War II. Even though they seem harmless, such objects can hide a deadly danger even after decades.

The explosion occurred on Tuesday morning in a multi-family building at Mickiewicza Street. There were three people – the owner of the apartment (62), his 65-year-old colleague and 45-year-old woman. Everyone was under the influence of alcohol – the owner and woman had more than 2.5 proms, and the older man was close to half proms.

After the explosion, two people were injured: the landlord and his colleague. Their lives are safe, but they're both in hospital. Material losses included, among others, a window that flew outside the building.

Rescue and evacuation

Police And the bomb squad secured the scene. A wartime mine was also found in the apartment, which police bomb squad took to the ground for neutralization.
A total of 36 people from the building and neighboring houses were evacuated. After the rescue, the residents could return to their premises.
