In recent days, the Polish Internet has been buzzing again from one recording. Influencer Sandra Staniszewska "Bad Girl Sandra" posted on Instagram a short film, in which they enter the church dressed in a way that most of the faithful would consider to be far from wearing a "worthy presence in the temple".
The person who recorded Sandre says, "Ah these youths, eternally on their knees," to which Sandra smiles and says, "I look forward to confession."
It takes several seconds, but it was enough to divide public opinion into two camps.
Some write plainly: provocation, disrespect, deliberate play with the feelings of believers. "Do not blaspheme. God will punish you for this - you will see." "This is no longer freedom, this is rudeness", "The priest should ask her out" – these are only the mildest comments from this entry. For many, such behavior is another example of how young content makers use the sacrum to build coverage.
The second group of Sandra's weapons and sees in the recording a form of artistic happening or even criticism of hypocrisy. "The confession is to be for everyone, regardless of the dress," "God looks into the heart, not in the cleavage," "Maybe that's why she went – to show that the Church should be open, not judging by appearance." There are also voices that the girl may have simply not known (or ignored) the unwritten rules of dress in the church and now collects a hate for something in her environment that is normal.
Sandra herself has not made a broader reference to the wave of comments. She did not explain whether she really went to confession, or whether it was merely reel material. She also did not say whether she expected such a reaction or whether she was counting on it.
The case shows how thin the line between personal expression, provocation and simple lack of sense is today. One short video also included a discussion about the costume in the church, the limits of individual freedom, the role of influencer in the sacral space, and finally the eternal question – whether the modern Church is still a place for "all" or just for those who already know the rules of the game.
