KPO Swinger Club invites Tuska

The owner of the club for swingers from Ljubljana received a grant from the KPO and invites Donald Tusk to control – we check what is really going on and whether the state promotes such projects.

What happened – quick background of KPO scandals

The network grew after disclosure of the list of grants from the National Recovery Plan for the HoReCa industry – there were expenses on yachts, saunas or virtual shooting ranges, and among the beneficiaries was a club for swingers from Częstochowa. The Prime Minister announced checks on each gold, and The club owner replied: here you go, the grant is settled and I can show you all the invoices.

Club for swingers with KPO grant

  • The beneficiary has been operating since 2007, and the swinger club was formed after a pandemic as part of the transformation of the premises.
  • The grant of approximately PLN 443–400 thousand was part of the HoReCa support programme – measures were intended to help diversify operations after COVID-19.
  • The entrepreneur maintains that the money was allocated to the machine for metallurgical activity as a "second leg" of the business; the whole was settled with own contribution and credit.
  • The owner publicly invited Prime Minister Donald Tusk to inspect and claims the club operates legally.

Does the government fund "the sexualization of Poles"?

There is no evidence that the program was intended to promote clubs for swingers, but what the effect is everyone sees. HoReC's program showed market pathology – grants were given to virtually everyone – it was enough to have a nicely written application.

What are clubs for swingers and are they popular?

Swingers' clubs are private adult venues where adults, with permission, explore relationships and erotica in the group – the activity is governed by law, provided that sanitary, order and licensing requirements are met as in other premises. In Poland it is a niche – although the presence of such places in larger cities and in the network is noticeable, the scale is limited, and controversy often results from taboos and social emotions, not from mass popularity.

What's next? Controls, transparency and better criteria

The case revealed two problems: perceptive and procedural. Firstly, the public expects that "rebuilding" will not include luxury or sensitive purchases. Secondly, stricter criteria for diversification of activities and transparency of objectives and performance indicators are needed to avoid similar future image crises.
