When is the best time to buy a vacation to make it cheap?

The cheapest one is the so-called. early booking – November to February for the summer of the following year. Discounts are 20-30% compared to seasonal prices. Alternatively, last minute (2-4 weeks before departure) allows you to catch offers below the cost when the operator must fill the seats. Risky but cost-effective method for people with flexible graphics. The worst moment to buy is April–June – the prices are then highest.

What does all inclusive mean and is it worth paying for it?

All inclusive (AI) means that the price includes all meals, drinks (including alcohol for a certain hour), animations, pool access and usually some hotel attractions. It is worth it if you are going with the children, do not want to plan a restaurant every day or plan to spend most of your time in the hotel. It is not worth it if you want to know local cuisine and culture or plan numerous trips. In Turkey, AI is particularly affordable.

Is the package from the travel agency safer than the organization itself?

Yes, in terms of legal protection – by purchasing a package of tourism from a licensed organizer (registered in the Central Register of Tourism Organizers), you have the guarantee of the Tourist Guarantee Fund. In the event of bankruptcy, the TFG organiser shall bear the costs of returning to the country. With an independent organization (flight + hotel separately) there is no such protection.

Do I need a holiday visa to Turkey, Egypt or Tunisia?

Turkey: Poles do not need a visa up to 90 days – entry based on a passport. Egypt: Visa required – you can buy it online (e-visa, approx. $25) or at the airport at the entrance. Tunisia: No visa, passport or EU ID. Before each trip it is worth to check the current recommendations of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the address of msz.gov.pl.

How to choose a good all inclusive hotel – what to pay attention to?

Key criteria are: TripAdvisor/Google rating (minimum 4.0/5), year of last renovation (hotels older than 10 years without renovation often disappoint), location relative to the beach (whether the beach is directly by the hotel or the required access), animation program (important for children) and the quality of the AI system – it is worth to read opinions concerning particular food and drink, because standards differ greatly.

When is the cheapest season for the Canary Islands?

Canaryes do not have a clear high and low season like the south of Europe, because the climate is stable throughout the year. The cheapest periods are usually October–November and February–March. The most expensive is in December and at the turn of the year (Christmas, New Year's Eve) and in July–August.

Can you take your holiday to Bulgaria by car?

Yes, it is a popular option – especially for families. The route from Krakow to the Sunny Bank is about 1 350 km (approx. 13–14 h drive, usually with one night on the road). Hungary and Romania or Serbia. It is worth checking the current entry rules to Bulgaria – the country is in the EU but not in the Schengen area. The A1 motorway in Bulgaria is paid.
