Rome is one of the most visited destinations of city break in Europe, Sicily tempts with history and beaches, Rimini offers a cheap party on the Adriatic and Tuscany is synonymous with luxury rest among vineyards.
Rome – what to see in 3 days?
- Day 1: Colosseum, Forum Romanum, Palatyn Hill – book your tickets online at least a week earlier.
- Day 2: Vatican City (St Peter's Base, Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel) – necessarily with a ticket missing the queue.
- Day 3: Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, a walk on Trastevere.
Beach Italy – where to rest by the sea?
Sicily (Palermo, Taormina, Agrigento) is a combination of the beach with ancient history. Rimini and Adriatic Riviera – popular among Poles, cheap, extended hotel facilities, numerous charter flights. Sardinia – more luxurious, with turquoise waters comparable to the Caribbean, but more expensive. Amalfi and Positano – fairy tale but expensive and crowded in the summer.
