Prime Minister Donald Tusk surprised the political scene by announcing a motion to keep part of the Friday session of the Sejm secret. In a post on platform X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:
“I have asked Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty to keep the first item of the Sejm meeting secret, during which I will present urgent information on state security“.
The Prime Minister's decision raises numerous questions and controversy. It is officially about protecting sensitive data, but lack of details provokes speculation. Is this a response to hybrid threats from Russia or Belarus? Or is it part of a broader national security strategy in a time of geopolitical tension?
Confederate Member Konrad Berkowicz commented:
"Citizens have a right to know what you're planning,"
Marshal Czarzasta has not yet made a public reference to the proposal, but the meeting is scheduled for Friday. Poles are eager to solve this mystery – will it be a breakthrough in the protection of the state or just a political catch? Time will tell.
