What is WIBOR? Short explanation
WIBOR is simply an interest rate after which Polish banks lend each other money – such a price of money between banks. The banks use this number as a starting point to calculate loan rates for ordinary people, so the higher WIBOR, the more expensive the loan. It's a bit like the price of electricity in the wholesale – if it grows, the supplier also raises the bills.
