Sławomir Mentzen tests Tesla Cybertruck – a futuristic look and real problems

The photo of Sławomir Mentzen with Tesla Cybertruck warmed up to red social media. The politician did not buy the car, but shared his honest opinions with a short test. What impressed him and disappointed him?

Cybertruck on Polish roads? Mentzen's Eye Test

Sławomir Mentzen posted a photo with a distinctive Cybertruck on platform X, prompting a storm of comments and speculation as to whether he actually bought this controversial vehicle. He himself corrected that he only drove the Tesla and shared his first impressions – and these are mixed.

Impressions from driving Cybertruck

Acceleration and comfort

Mentzen points out that the acceleration pushes into the seat even despite nearly 4 tons of car weight. The car is comfortable, but requires a habit. You have to keep your foot on the gas constantly – Cybertruck slows down quite heavily on its own when you let the pedal go.

Range problem

The biggest disappointment is the range on the route. At highway speeds of about 140 km/h, a longer charging break is necessary after 200 kilometres. For people who often travel in Poland or Europe, this is a practical flaw, especially since the real range during fast driving differs strongly from the manufacturer's cataloguing declarations.

  • Declared range by the manufacturer: approx. 515-550 km (version with two engines)
  • Actual speed range: up to 300 km

Controversial design and futuristic associations

Cybertruck's appearance is very emotional. Mentzen writes that the vehicle produces extreme opinions – from fascination with modernity, to comparisons to "self-welded from sheet metal". Unorthodox styling is, however, Tesla's greatest asset for many – the car attracts eyesight and cannot be confused with any other.

Regulation trap – Cybertruck registration in Europe

The biggest challenge when importing Cybertruck to Poland or the European Union is legal issues. Currently, European legislation practically prevents registration of this model:

  • The American version does not meet the lighting standards – the lights shine differently than required by EU legislation.
  • Sharp edges and unusual body structure prevent a positive technical review.
  • Too much weight of the car balances at the limit of acceptable standards for the driver's license. B.

Only very determined hobbyists, with significant work effort and resources, attempt to register single copies, often failing.

Cybertruck – original, but practical?

  • Extremely original, highly controversial design
  • Impressive performance and acceleration
  • Very limited coverage on routes and practical problems with use in Europe
  • EU registration is a real challenge requiring time, knowledge and money

Mentzen emphasizes that Cybertruck may be an automotive curiosity of the future, but the number of formalities and costs is not worth the benefit to the average user. His final opinion? "A very original car, but the amount of trouble and money is not worth it".
