Bitcoin's prices are beating further records and approaching the level for which in the largest Polish cities one can buy a studio.
Bitcoin vs. bachelorette
Even a few years ago it seemed incredible, but today one Bitcoin is worth almost as much as a small apartment in Krakow, Warsaw or Wroclaw. Today, on July 11, 2025, the Bitcoin course is approximately $117,000, or approximately PLN 420,000. Meanwhile, the average price of a studio apartment in Krakow oscillates around PLN 500 000-670 000, although in cheaper districts you can find apartments for PLN 400 000-500 000.

Why the price? Market review
The prices of apartments in the so-called BIG5, i.e. the five largest Polish cities, have been steadily increasing for several years. In Krakow, the average price per square metre of studios is already over PLN 19,000, and in Warsaw even PLN 21,000. Bitcoin has gained value in recent months thanks to the growing interest of investors and increasing acceptance on the global financial market and the popularity of cryptocurrency exchanges.

Why is Bitcoin equal to the price of the apartment?
- Limited supply: Bitcoin has a programmed maximum number of coins, which drives the increase in its value.
- Inflation and uncertainty: In times of high inflation and economic uncertainty, investors seek alternative assets.
- Popularity among young people: For many young Poles Bitcoin became a symbol of modern investment.
Is it worth switching a condo to Bitcoin?
This question is being asked by more and more people. On the one hand, the apartment gives a sense of security and stability, on the other hand – Bitcoin tempts with potentially higher profits. Example: someone who bought Bitcoin for PLN 100,000 two years ago, today could sell it for four times more. On the other hand, housing in large cities does not lose value and gives the opportunity to rent.

We don't know what the future will bring, but I'm sure those who bought bitcoin or a condo 10 years ago can't complain about valuations.
