Today the Presidential Palace held a landmark meeting on the dramatic situation in Polish animal shelters. President Karol Nawrocki and First Lady Marta Nawrocka hosted the well-known singer Dorothy "Doda" Rabczewska, journalist Krzysztof Stanowski and MP Łukasz Litewska. The meeting was organised in response to alarming reports of conditions in shelters in Bytom and Sobolev, where gross negligence and cruel treatment of animals occurred over the years.

During the interview, the key problems of private animal shelters in Poland were discussed and proposals for changes aimed at improving the welfare of these facilities. Among the most important demands were the increase in penalties for animal abuse, the permanent removal of rights to possess animals to perpetrators of such acts, as well as training for judges and prosecutors to rule on animal protection matters.

The addition, which has been actively fighting for animal rights for weeks and publicizing pathologies in so-called "pathochronics", expressed satisfaction with the meeting. She wrote on her Instagram: "I am very happy with this meeting. We talked absolutely about everything that was most important. I also see a great desire to help on the other side. I believe it won't be words without cover." The singer gave the presidential couple concrete requests to amend the law, which could bring real changes to the animal protection system.

President Nawrocki listened attentively to the guests, and the President's Chancellery stressed that the discussion focused on systemic solutions proposals. This meeting is an important step towards reform that could prevent similar tragedies in the future. Internet users respond enthusiastically, praising the involvement of celebrities and politicians in a matter that touches the hearts of many Poles.

Is this the beginning of a revolution in animal protection? Observers are waiting for concrete action from the authorities, and Doda announces a further fight for justice for defenseless quadrupeds.
