Banks every three months update the interest rate of your credit just on the basis of WIBOR 3M current quotes. In other words – if this number increases, your installment may increase, and if it falls, the installment may decrease.

How does today's WIBOR 3M affect the mortgage payment?
The interest rate on your mortgage is WIBOR 3M plus a bank margin – this margin is usually between 2 and 2.5%. Thus, with today's WIBOR 3M of 3.85% the total interest rate on credit can range from approximately 5.85% to 6.35%, depending on your agreement with the bank.

WIBOR and car and company leasing
Few people know this, but WIBOR rates affect not only housing loans – they also affect leasing instalments. The leasing companies finance purchases cars and machines, borrowing money in the market, and the cost of that money depends on WIBOR. As WIBOR grows today, leasing payments may be slightly higher – and vice versa.
