Valve officially showed the new Steam Machine and immediately sparked a lot of controversy. The cheapest version with 512 GB memory costs PLN 4389and in the controller version it is already 4698 zł. For the top configuration with 2 TB you have to pay even PLN 6048.
That's a lot. money For a device that many people associate with rather cheap, compact PC games on the couch.

What does the new Steam Machine offer?
According to official information, the device has the following specification:
- Processor: 6-core / 12-thread AMD Zen 4
- Graphic card: AMD RDNA 3 with 28 calculation units
- Memory: 16 GB DDR5 + 8 GB GDDR6
- Disk: 512 GB NVMe SSD (expandability)
- Communication: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Gigabit Ethernet
- System: SteamOS 3
- Compact housing (approx. 16 cm from the side)
- Includes integrated wireless adapter for controller
Valve also offers versions with 2 TB disk and controller packages.
Player reactions
Prices quickly became the main topic of discussion. Many players believe that these money you can fold a much stronger desktop PC. Others point out that the Steam Machine is to be primarily comfortable, ready-to-use device with SteamOS system, no combination with Windows and drivers.
For now, it is not known how the device will deal in practice.
